AMF is pleased to announce support for an international Credit Union development volunteer to attend the next Asian Confederation of Credit Unions forum in Malaysia this year.
Teresa Tao is a voluntary promoter and trainer for credit unions in China. Teresa proposes to update herself in credit union knowledge especially in areas of credit union legislation and innovation in micro-finance. Theresa will stay on after the forum to observe the operation of ACCU and credit unions in Malaysia for a further few days.
Teresa hopes to work closely with ACCU on the promotion for credit unions, especially in the absence of a coordinated sponsoring body in China. Working out of the Catholic parish in Dali, Yunnan Province she is contacting local government and villages and promoting the value of credit unions.
