John Kavalieros and Kathy Loutas from Transport Mutual Credit Union, and Pauline Henderson from Australian Mutual Bank recently had the opportunity to visit the Barnardos Yurrungai Centre in Redfern. The centre provides after school care for up to twenty-five children from the local area. It was considered an amazing experience to meet with the children and the staff of the centre and to listen to their life stories. The staff are inspiring people and are truly dedicated to the children and their welfare.
The children created a hand painted special indigenous artwork that acknowledged their heritage and presented it to our AMF visitors. The painting was given to AMF supporter Transport Mutual Credit Union, and CEO John Kavalieros has promised that it will hang proudly in the TMCU boardroom when it has dried!
The AMF is proud to be a major supporter of Barnardos Australia and our many thanks to Viv and her team for allowing us to visit.
