AMF Volunteers at the Barnardos Australia 2022 Peter Pan Op Shop

The Barnardos Australia 2022 Summer Peter Pan Op Shop was a great success – raising vital funds to support the Barnardos Australia Beyond Barbed Wire program.

Held annually, the Peter Pan Op Shop raises funds for Australian Mutuals Foundations charity partner, Barnardos Australia. This year, the three-day op shop event was held at Club Rose Bay where eager bargain shoppers could snag amazing designer pieces, all while supporting a worthwhile cause. New designer fashion, end-of-season stock, pre-loved and vintage wears were available from KoKo Adora, Shona Joy, David Lawrence, Koh Woman, MARCS, sass & bide, Shona Joy and many more!

The fundraiser was well-supported with volunteers from the Australian Mutual Bank and G&C Mutual Bank kindly lending a hand to help with the event. The funds raised will go towards the Barnardos Beyond Barbed Wire program, a specialist program for women who are in prison which helps prepare them for their return to their family and community.

Volunteering days, such as the Peter Pan Op Shop, provide an opportunity for organisations to demonstrate corporate social responsibility. They also enable staff members to meet colleagues from across the Mutuals sector, while enjoying a rewarding day, helping the community.

The Australian Mutuals Foundation offers volunteering opportunities to Mutuals, Credit Unions, Building Societies and Co-operatives. To find out how to get involved, please contact us.
